Projects
Products Iain Weir has built to solve real problems, mostly for rowing fans and athletes. Each one has shipped, has users, and has taught me something — and each is a case study in early-stage product development: find a real problem, ship the smallest useful version, then iterate on what people actually do.

Fantasy Rowing
A prediction league app that gets rowing fans watching more racing.

TargetSplits
A clean, fast pace planner for erg tests.

TapDown
A faster way to find World Rowing results.
WinterRowingLeague
A UK-wide league that turns the winter head-race season into one competition.
How I work
Zero to one is the stage I know best. The same four habits run through every product here, from a weekend prototype to an app with thousands of users.
- Start with the user. Features come from feedback and usage data, not a roadmap written in isolation.
- Ship, then iterate. Get to launch quickly, then refine against real-world use.
- Measure what matters. Engagement, conversion, viewership. If it can't be measured it's hard to improve.
- Apply technology sideways. The interesting results usually come from using a tool in a way it wasn't quite intended for.
